  • What is the difference between a Bookkeeper and an Accountant?
There is a misconception that Bookkeepers and Accountants are synonymous; however, that is not the case. While Bookkeepers do provide some basic accounting tasks such as recording invoices, receipts, payments and other financial transactions. On the other hand, an Accountant is responsible for analyzing, interpreting, classifying and reporting key financial data to business owners, stakeholders and leaders of a company. Although the expertise of an Accountant is ideal for small businesses it is often the case hiring an average Accountant to maintain the day-to-day can be a rather costly expense for small business owners. At XCEL Business Solutions, we don’t believe our clients should have to choose between the two. We offer our clients customizable solutions to fit their business needs while utilizing our combined expertise from various national, corporate enterprises to provide the same support to small business owners.
  • I have a CPA to file my taxes, why do I need to hire you for the day-to-day Accounting?"
Running a business is not just about filing taxes at the end of the year. Did you know that 1:3 small businesses fail within their first five years of inception because of poor financial planning, budgeting, or accurate record keeping? Unfortunately, when you’re ready to file your business taxes, an entire year of the “unknown” about your business has just passed you by. You scramble to find out if you spent too little or too much, if inventory reflects what you have available on your website, if employing new staff has created a gain/loss to your bottom line or if all of your business expenses have simply cleared your bank account. At XCEL Business Solutions, we understand it is stressful enough for a business owner to focus on the core values of their company while stopping to handle the back office items. We relieve this stress with simply one mantra in mind, “Behind every good business is a great Accountant”.
  • I already have Accounting software, will you need access to my software or do you require for me to keep my files on your platform?"
We offer our clients the opportunity to choose which platform fits their business needs the most. Either option our clients choose, we transparently provide our clients with unlimited access to view all recorded information for their business (this includes but not limited to: protective business passwords, reports, written correspondence on the company’s behalf and a detailed audit trail report of all activity recorded in the financial database as requested by client).
  • I think I may need your help but I am not quite sure what services I need for my business right now or in the future, how can I determine what services are needed for my business?"
No one knows your business better than you do as the owner. However, we understand if Accounting has never been your favorite part of the business, the small but essential details are sometimes inadvertently overlooked. No worries! We have you covered with our seamless process. First our website breaks out the specific description of the services that will be provided to the client. Whether you decide you only need Collections or Full Cycle bookkeeping management, this will give you a blueprint of what you can expect to be done. Once you have identified the services that are needed, we invite you to a FREE consultation. The consultation will allow you us the opportunity to further explore if our services are a fit for you. We dig in deep with questions that will give us an in-depth analysis of the current financial state of your business. Once this is established, we set aside time for a final meeting to discuss other logistics and next steps once XCEL Business Solutions has been determined to be the most viable fit to fulfill your business needs.
